All three games make use of this PS5 DualSense controller's enhanced haptics in a variety of ways. Both NBA 2K21 MT and FIFA 21 increase the resistance on the best"sprint" activate if players get tired, which I have found pretty useful as somebody who occasionally overuses the feature. 2K21's use of the left cause to communicate defense anxiety is a little less successful. It merely feels loud and clunky rather than helpful feedback. And while Madden 21 uses the haptics effectively to convey the effects of grabs and tackles with finer detail, I noticed the DualSense most when audibles were called through its own speaker.
There is no getting away from it, NBA 2K21 appears fantastic, from the way the person players move across the court to the shine of timber from the spotlights. The player models look fantastic and so are exceptionally detailed in everything they do; if that be skirting round the courtroom, getting involved in celebrations, or listening to the coach in a timeout. There is also a wonderful sense of realness, energy, and everything feeling living, together with the arenas you perform in vibrant. Crowds look real and the atmosphere seeps out from the sidelines so much that you can almost smell it. It most certainly feels a step up from what I watched of the former version on the Xbox One. Movement feels smooth and easy as well, with the developers having worked ironing out delays in measures, and it simply feels much more dynamic to playwith. The strange glitch and odd bit of motion from the players kick in occasionally, but that seems to be off the court in timeouts instead of from the play.
