Vans Slide-On Cheap

Jerry Lorenzo took to his Instagram to tease that there’s another member of his Fear of God x Vans collab that hasn’t been released yet. Another new colorway of the Vans Slide-On Womens was spotted on his IG, this time dressed in black. This tonal black offering looks most similar to the all-red colorway that dropped in the original release. No official release information has been made public, but it is quite possible that this will be an extremely limited release since it was not part of the original drop.

The print itself is a rare vintage embellishment that was first used by Vans in the ’80s, and Barneys has elevated it a notch by embroidering the whimsical dinosaurs directly onto the upper instead of using a simple printed canvas. The collection consists of six shoes in total: black/white Vans Old Skools and Vans Authentics plus a black Vans Sk8-Hi and a kids-only black Vans Slide-On Mens, all of which are completed with classic Vans touches like white rubber midsoles, jazz stripe side detailing, and retro metal eyelets.

Vans’ patched appliques and stitched on swatches of contrasting tones have sent them down a rabbit hole of inventive motifs, now donning the leather Vans Slide-On Price with an overt patch along the toebox of a split color scheme. Doing away with the usual tone or material plays, the Anaheim-based label is opting for design more involved, using different techniques to reinvigorate once simple models like their laceless classic. Three schemes come hit with that mindset, one of a Pink/White, one a Gold/White, and the other a Black/White done up in symmetrical contrast à la Harvey Dent.

The Vans Slide-On Cheap has surely had a busy year with its almost constant transformations. Seen only a few months ago in a velvet retooling by the Japanese label Needles, the model is now taking a few notes from others’ books to embrace a welcome maximalism. With the Vans Slide-On Sale silhouette being internationally recognized, it’s only natural to completely transform the upper with an overall satin fabrication and hits of floral embroidery. Arriving in two base tones — one a more subtle black with the other being a bold, deep red — the rest of the upper is adorned with a colorful range of old flowers through a luxe brocade finish.
