Nike Air More Uptempo UK

The 1996 NBA season was truly one for the history books. The Chicago Bulls posted an amazing 72-10 regular season record and won their fourth NBA Championship—their first after Michael Jordan‘s brief retirement to focus on baseball. Now, in homage to that fabled season, Nike is releasing several classic basketball silhouettes as part of their commemorative “Pinstripe” pack—one of which is this Nike Air More Uptempo Men.

Nike’s 1996 basketball retro is back once again in one of its brightest colorways to date. Dubbed the “Hot Punch” version, this women’s exclusive selection ushers in black on its leather upper, but then elects to add Hot Punch, Volt, and an equally loud orange instep to elements of the sneaker. Featured on pieces the likes of its “AIR” and Nike branding, as well as the Nike Air More Uptempo Women‘s instep, this pair would be a welcomed addition to any female sneakerhead’s collection.

Nike's increased emphasis toward retro 90s basketball silhouettes as of late has been no secret, as the boisterously-designed Nike Air More Uptempo Sale silhouette has led the way for this resurgence. There's no questioning its influence in the States, but the Swoosh Brand is ready to cross the pond and head to Europe with its next three-piece set. Utilizing London, Paris, and Milan as the inspirations, all three of these Uptempo iterations feature their respective territories embroidered in a glistening white on their heel.

When the Nike Air More Uptempo UK made its initial return to Nike retailers last year, it released in a Chicago Bulls color scheme that came primarily dressed in red with white and black contrast mixed in. Now, the Swoosh has a reverse version of that colorway ready to release with white leather taking up the vast majority of the sneaker's real estate. Black adorns the bold "AIR" branding on its upper while red is responsible for smaller elements the likes of the Swooshes on its toe and midsole as well as the inside of its semi-translucent Air unit. Chicago Bulls fans as well as appreciators of this boisterous silhouette will be pleased with the upcoming release of this classic color scheme.
